Just wanted to post a quick update. I'm using a service called BackerKit to help with managing and delivery of all your rewards and goodies. I have it set up and it just needs to go through review, which will take a few days. I expect it to reach your inboxes either late this week or sometime next week. In the email, you'll find a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since I need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but I'll let you know as soon as it sends!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://theshadowreader.backerkit.com.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://theshadowreader.backerkit.com/faq.
Funds should be released to me on Friday, which means I can order your books! I'll keep you updated on the status of everything, but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

We did it! The campaign for The Shadow Reader Hardcover and Audiobook is complete, and we came in at 70 backers and $4,924! And that number let us unlock Stretch Goal #3, which means The Shattered Dark will become an audiobook over the summer (with delivery most likely in early fall).
Thank you so much! It's amazing to have your support, and I can't wait to get all the books and swag into your hands and inboxes.
Now that the Kickstarter is finished, what happens next? I'll be sending out a backer survey in the next week so that I can start sending you your digital rewards. Those should be out before the end of May. I've ordered the pins and print books and all the other physical items. Barring no unexpected shipping delays, I expect those to arrive at my place in May. I'll sign and ship them out as soon as I can and, of course, I'll keep you updated during the whole process.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. This campaign has been a fantastic experience for me, and I want to make it a fabulous one for you guys as well. I'm so grateful for Kickstarter--it's giving authors the support we need to bring our stories and characters to life.
Stretch Goal #3 UNLOCKED!

Ohmygosh! We passed $4,000 on this campaign, which means we unlocked Stretch Goal #3! I get to hire the narrator to record The Shattered Dark! Woohoo! That was a huge, huge goal of the campaign, and one I actually didn't think I'd reach. But you guys are AMAZING! I love how supportive readers are!
I'm just so happy about this, and everyone who has pledged at the $50 and up (Thank you level and up) will get The Shattered Dark as soon as it's ready. My narrator isn't available until this summer, so it will probably be close to Fall, but you will get it!
This Kickstarter has been the greatest experience ever! It ends in a little over 24 hours, so if you haven't backed yet and want to, definitely do that now.

There are only a few days left to back The Shadow Reader Hardcover and Audiobook Kickstarter. We've come so far--almost $4,000 raised!--and I'm hoping we can get past that number so we can get The Shattered Dark out in audio.
To all you who've backed, thank you so much! I'm blown away by your support. I wasn't sure what to expect from Kickstarter, but it's been amazing. I feel closer to you guys (is that weird? lol), and am honestly looking forward to mailing all your goodies.
And I have more perks for you! Everyone who has backed or who backs by the end of the campaign gets the three books below.
If you guys backed at the beginning of the campaign, you guys have 11 fantastic books to read! If you're backing this week, you're going to love these last three books. I reviewed Huntress Born in a previous email. It was my first Aimee Easterling book, wonderfully written with deep characters and a slow burn romance. Warning: you will crave cupcakes!
Grace Under Fire is by Frog and Esther Jones and is a fun, action adventure urban fantasy that had its own super successful Kickstarter back in January.
And, finally, Bound Sorcery is by new-to-me author Natalie Grey. I've only read the first chapter of this one so far, by I am hooked!
